Diesel Tech Inc. is looking for a skilled Trailer Mechanic to join our growing team. If you have a knack for repairing and maintaining trailers to keep them road-ready, we’d love to have you on board!
Responsibilities:
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair trailer components, including brakes, suspension, lighting, and structural systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance to ensure trailers meet safety and operational standards.
- Troubleshoot and fix issues with trailer doors, floors, roofs, and coupling systems.
- Use welding and fabrication skills for structural repairs as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts, and service performed.
Requirements:
- Experience as a trailer mechanic or in a related mechanical field.
- Knowledge of trailer systems, including air brakes, ABS, and electrical wiring.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus but not required).
- Strong problem-solving skills and a focus on safety.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in trailer repair or mechanics.
- Welding certification or experience with MIG/TIG welding.
- Experience with refrigerated trailers (reefers) or specific trailer brands [e.g., Utility, Wabash, etc., if applicable].
