Diesel Tech Inc. is looking for a skilled Trailer Mechanic to join our growing team. If you have a knack for repairing and maintaining trailers to keep them road-ready, we’d love to have you on board!
Responsibilities:
Inspect, diagnose, and repair trailer components, including brakes, suspension, lighting, and structural systems.
Perform preventative maintenance to ensure trailers meet safety and operational standards.
Troubleshoot and fix issues with trailer doors, floors, roofs, and coupling systems.
Use welding and fabrication skills for structural repairs as needed.
Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts, and service performed.
Requirements:
Experience as a trailer mechanic or in a related mechanical field.
Knowledge of trailer systems, including air brakes, ABS, and electrical wiring.
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus but not required).
Strong problem-solving skills and a focus on safety.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in trailer repair or mechanics.
Welding certification or experience with MIG/TIG welding.
Experience with refrigerated trailers (reefers) or specific trailer brands [e.g., Utility, Wabash, etc., if applicable].
